JOE COLE’S THOUGHTS ON ANDREAS CHRISTENSEN
Former Chelsea winger Joe Cole has revealed the player Andreas Christensen should try to emulate and it’s not John Terry.

The Denmark international was handed a rare start in Chelsea’s Carabao Cup semifinal first-leg against Tottenhamlast time out and the defender wasted a golden opportunity to drag the Blues level in the second half.
Following a beautifully-taken corner from the left, Christensen did really well to escape the attentions of Toby Alderweireld and Dele Alli and found himself unmarked in the area, ready to fire the ball into the back of the net.
The defender opted for his right foot even when his left would have been a better option, slicing his effort well wide of the far post. Spurs goalkeeper Paulo Gazzanigamust have been relieved to see the ball soar high into the stands, considering how nicely the ball dropped for Christensen to shoot.
Had he kept his composure to score, the tie would have been setup nicely for the Blues ahead of the return leg to be played at Stamford Bridge in two weeks’ time.
Sky Sports pundits analyzed Christensen’s miss after the game and Cole was quick to point out how William Gallas used to score some important goals back in the day.
He explained how the French defender used to time his runs to perfection and how good he was at finding the back of the net.
Joe Cole wants Christensen to emulate Gallas who scored a couple of goals at West London. Christensen is still yet to open his account for the Blues in over 50 appearances.
Joe Cole is a former English professional footballer who last played as a winger for United Soccer League outfit Tampa Bay Rowdies.
